MATTIE PERKINS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 17, 1934 the daughter of the late Oscar and Lillian Northcutt White.
Ms. Perkins was a homemaker. She loved to listen to gospel and bluegrass music. Ms. Perkins also loved to dance, the Charleston was one of her favorites. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting with her sister, camping and playing countless hours of UNO with her grandchildren. The latter part of her life was spent in the nursing home making friends. Her love for family and friends shined through until the very end.
Ms. Perkins departed this life on April 3, 2018 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 17 days.
She is survived by her children, Frankie Moore and her husband Tommy of Adamsville, Tennessee, Ruth Borden and her husband Carl of Shiloh, Tennessee, Randy Perkins and his wife Carol of Adamsville, Tennessee, Tina Brown and her husband Ben of Florence, Alabama and Robert Perkins and his wife Kay of Florence, Alabama; one sister, Ruth Lewis of Water Valley, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Jonas Perkins, two sisters, Mamie Qualls and Margaret Plunk and three brothers, George Jerry White, Jimmy Ray White and Oscar White, Jr.
