MAUDE EVA PLUNK

Henderson, TN: Maude Eva Plunk age 95 passed away August 10, 2016 at the Tri County Nursing Home in Adamsville, TN.

She was born June 22, 1921 in Chester County, the Tamarac Community, the daughter of the late Hollie Edward and Zula Naylor Plunk. She attended Old Friendship and Henderson Schools and in 1942 she began working at Salant & Salant Mfg. where she worked until her retirement in 1980. She was very active in the Christ Community Pentecostal Church of Henderson and taught the young people’s Sunday school class for many years.

Miss Plunk is survived by a sister, Hermie McCollum and husband W.D. McCollum of Adamsville and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters, Eula Davis, David Plunk, Hettie Plunk, Claudie Plunk, Mary Nell Hubanks, Curtis Plunk and Rev. Jessie Plunk.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Danny Grisham, Michael Rickenbaker and W.D. McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday.
