Maudie Melson Guffee

MAUDIE MELSON GUFFEE



Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 11, 1929 the daughter of the late Jess Morgan and Cora Brown Bonee.



On December 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to Eureka Melson, who preceded his wife in death on March 13, 2000. Later on July 11, 2007 she was united in marriage to Larry Guffee, who survives.



Mrs. Guffee worked as a cook and bus driver for the Hardin County Board of Education and she also had worked for WKWX Sunday Down South. Mrs. Guffee was also a commerical fisherman for many years. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church and was also a member of Woodmen of the World. Mrs. Guffee enjoyed doing carpentry work, traveling, playing dominoes at Cerro Gordo Community Center. She also enjoyed all sports and was a UT Vols fan.



Mrs. Guffee departed this life on March 9, 2012 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 27 days.



In addition to her husband Larry of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by 5 daughters, Gail Hosea and husband Reece, Patsy Cornelius and husband Donald, Glenda Whitlow and husband Kenny, Jane Haggard and Debbie Blackwelder and husband Don, all of Savannah, Tennessee



one son, Ricky Melson and wife Mary of Savannah, Tennessee



one stepson, Ron Guffee of California



3 step daughters, Sherry Plasse of California, Janet Wright of Indiana and Linda Burner of Alabama



12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild



8 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren



one sister, Lois Turner of Savannah, Tennessee



In addition to her parents and her first husband ,she was also preceded in death by one brother Bob Bonee
