Maurine Foster

Henderson: Opal Maurine Lott Foster, age 86, passed away September 9, 2010 at Chester County Healthcare.She was born and reared in Chester County in the Glendale Community, the daughter of the late Will Robins and Mary Dona Brewer Lott. She attended schools at Glendale and Chester County High School. In 1940 she married John Leonard Foster. They made their home in Memphis were she was employed by the Memphis Police Department from 1961 until 1977 and later worked for Hancock Fabrics. In 1978 they retuned to Henderson. She was a member of the Glendale Home Demonstration Club for many years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and she had taught Sunday school classes for children at Barton First Southern Methodist Church in Memphis for many years.She is survived by two sons, John L. Foster, Jr. and wife Justine and David Foster all of Henderson, three grandchildren, David Keith Foster and wife Christie, Amy Clenney and husband Steve and Paul Foster and four great-grandchildren, Jed Clenney and Katie Beth Clenney, Isabelle Foster, and Morgan Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Foster in 2002 and also three brothers, W. C. Lott, Truman Lott and Tillman Lott, and three sisters, Vera Lott, Arlene Lott and Lera Smith.
