Mava Ross

Mava (Grammy) Rosswas born in Benton Harbor, Michigan on July 22, 1932 the daughter of the late Ferman Hess and Marie Rose Hess Salee.On July 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Herbert Brouse Ross, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.Mrs. Ross was a lifetime cook and had also worked for the RHEMA Shelter in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed flowers, collecting different items, puzzles, Elvis Presley, and she enjoyed her family.Mrs. Ross departed this life on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the age of 79 years, 2 months, 24 days.She is survived by 3 daughters, Shelley Lynn Jackson and Sheila June Nickerson both of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, and Nena Ellen Powell of Berrien Center, Michigan; a son, Herbert Brouse Ross, Jr. of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, Sissi Babette Ginn, Bettina Ann Lee, Michael Herbert Brouse Ross, Calley Lashell Russell, Joshua Eric Jackson, Todd Everette Nickerson, Tracy Lynn Nickerson, and Bindy Ellen Latino; 15 great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Hess; 2 sisters, Alma Henderson and Patsy Oliver.
