Max Hardin Shull, a beloved member of the Waynesboro, TN community, entered this world as the son of the late Max and Mary Edith Hardin Shull. Throughout his life journey, Max found love in two marriages; first with Marie Shull who preceded him in death on July 21, 2005 and later with Carolyn Sherrill Lineberry Shull. His commitment to family and faith was evident through his membership at Philadelphia Baptist Church.
Working diligently for many years as an Inspector for the State of Tennessee, Max's dedication shone bright in all aspects of his life. Whether tending to the land he cherished, enjoying the outdoors, or simply relishing moments with loved ones, Max found joy in every day.
On March 14, 2024, in Waynesboro, TN, Max peacefully passed away at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 10 days surrounded by family. Leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Sherrill Lineberry Shull; his children Brian L. Lineberry (Samantha) and Tina M. Bowling (Randy); 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Max was preceded in death by grandparents, Andy and Ada Shull, and Gipson and Della Hardin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with David Eliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors honorably serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Butterfly Foundation or Philadelphia Baptist Church.
