MAXINE BEECHAM BETHUNE
Enville, TN: Vena Maxine Beecham Bethune age 87 passed away May 12, 2013 at her daughter’s home.
She was born and reared in Henderson County the daughter of the late Charlie Edward and Patra Imogene Bailey Beecham. She went to school in Henderson County and married Kenneth Bethune in 1942. They made their home in Chester County. Mrs. Bethune worked at Salant & Salant Mfg. for over ten years and then at H.I.S. at Saltillo for five years. Mr. Bethune died in 1998. She loved to quilt, gardening and grow flowers. She was a member of the Decaturville Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Bethune and Jackey Bethune both of Enville; a daughter, Louise Hudson of Enville; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Nolen and Sue Page both of Henry, TN and Fern Wilson of Paris, TN and three brothers, Eugene Beecham of Humboldt, TN, Gary Beecham and Paul Beecham both of Henry, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Bethune in 1998; a son, Kenneth Lee Bethune in 1997; two sisters, Velma Nolen and Gaytha Barnhill and three brothers, Dale, Velton and Robert Beecham.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Welvon Mayo and Don Funderburk officiating and burial will follow in Grove Springs Cemetery at Enville, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday.
