Maxine Majors Griffin, age 85, formerly of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, April 5, at Hospice Alliance House in Kenosha, Wisconsin with family at her side.
Maxine was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sula Greene Majors. She was united in marriage to Hollis Wesley Griffin, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers, Eugene (her twin), Robert Lynn, Keaton, Wallace, Gordon and Frank Majors; and one sister, Grace Haggard.
Maxine is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Susan Griffin; one daughter and son-in-law, Mackie Griffin Moore and Greg Moore; two granddaughters, Claire Griffin and Emily Jackson (husband Reagan); and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Maxine enjoyed a lifelong devotion to God and her family. She was a hard working independent provider for her family with many talents. She cared for and nurtured her whole family including many friends. Retired from apparel manufacturing work at age 68. She held position from line worker to plant manager.
