Maxine Horner

MAXINE HORNER

was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on July 9, 1926 the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Thomason Hill.

In 1944 she was united in marriage to Howard Horner, who preceded his wife in death September 3, 1986.

Mrs. Horner was the owner and operator of Horner's Florist for 25 years. She also had worked for Brown Shoe in Selmer, Dyer, and Savannah. Mrs. Horner was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved talking to friends and family and was a very devoted mother, grannie, mom, ma, other mother and other grannie.

Mrs. Horner departed this life on June 2, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 24 days.

She is survived by her two sons, Frank Horner and his wife Mary of Memphis, Tennessee and Dr. David Horner and his wife Becky of Many, Louisiana.

5 grandchildren, Heather Dennis, Kim Miller, Paul Johnston, Lance Horner and Kyla Horner and 3 great grandchildren, Mason Dennis, Payton Dennis and Dillon Miller

one sister, Catherine Goodman of Booneville, Mississippi

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Francis Taylor and one brother, James Alfred Hill.
