Melba D. Daniel

Melba D. Daniel was born June 7, 1938 in Collinwood, TN the daughter of the late Jimmy Calvin and Ruby Berry Daniel. Mrs. Daniel departed this life Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 4 months, 12 days. She was married to J.E. (Emmit) Daniel and he preceded her in death February 2004. Mrs. Daniel, a member of Millrock Freewill Baptist Church, had worked as a sales clerk at White's in Lawrenceburg and Long Greens in Collinwood.

She is survived by a son, Faron Keith Daniel, brother, James C. (Sonny) Daniel both of Collinwood, TN, sisters, Etheleen Holt of Cypress Inn, TN, Tricia Thurmond of Gates, TN, Judy Strait of Cypress Inn, TN, Gail Edwards of Athens, AL, and Felecia Paul of Huntsville, AL, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by sisters, Reba Dawson, Genette McNeese Gorman, and Ramona Creecy.

Services will be held on Sunday October 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood with Joel Wallace and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Reggie Holt, Randall Holt, Ashley Thurmond, Darrin Thurmond, Arlie Daniel, and Estal Mattox.
