Melba Weaver McCulloughwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 11, 1924 the daughter of the late Ethel and Grace Sipes Singleton.Mrs. McCullough lived in the Milledgeville area most of her life and was a hairdresser there from 1961 until 1985. She was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church, Cosmetology Group, Ruritan Club of Milledgeville, and an active member of Milledgeville Community Center. She enjoyed singing, gardening, volunteering at the nursing home, she was very active in church work and was a member of the choir.Mrs. McCullough departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, 5 days.She is survived by a son, Ritchie Van Weaver of Milledgeville, Tennessee.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vandyke Weaver; her second husband, Garvin McCullough; three brothers, Crawford Singleton, Hoover Singleton, and Woody Gene; four sisters, Autry Wetmore, Blanche Vaccaro, Louise Dickson, and Opal Garey.Memorial donations to American Heart Association.
