Melvin Thomas Dixon of Collinwood, TN was born November 4, 1947 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Thomas Cincinnati and Mamie Ruth Stockard Dixon.
Mr. Dixon was owner of Sarge's Shack in Pulaski, TN. He was a barber, a farmer and was involved in many other business activities. Mr. Dixon was a member of the Jaycee's organization and had served in the TN National Guard. He was a member of the Shawnettee Methodist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee and departed this life on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 29 Days.
He is survived by a sister, Charlotte Ruth Wisdom and husband, Carl and nephew, Thomas Wisdom all of Lawrenceburg, TN and companion, Vicki Spurlin of Cornersville, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his son, Brent Thomas Dixon.
A graveside service will be Monday, July 5, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Shawnettee Cemetery in Collinwood, Tennessee with Jim Arrington officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Pallbearers will be Les Reed, Tim Keeton, Brian Brison, Josh Davis, Patrick Lancaster, Ronnie McCrory, Rickey Violet and Bobby Blanton.
