Michael Franks departed this life on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 36 years, 10 months.
Michael was born in Jackson, Tennessee on June 20, 1977, the son of Freeman Franks and the late Mable Ruth Smith Franks. He loved to coon hunt, ride 4-wheelers, and play on the internet. Michael worked for Danny Williams Sawmill. He was the last of the first 12 non-twin bone-marrow transplants ever done.
He is survived by his father, Freeman Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Jane Shelby, Virginia Lee Qualls both of Savannah, Tennessee, and Becky Franks of Wyoming; brothers, Pokey Franks, Tracy Franks, and Jon Franks all of Savannah, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Todd; grandparents, Bessie Smith, Calvin Lee Smith, Elsie Hill, and George Franks
