Michael James Holmes departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the age of 49 years, 1 month, and 8 days. He was born in Syracuse, New York the son of Joan DeBrauwere and the late James Homes. On January 17, 2015, he was united in marriage to Charissa Breckheimer, who survives.
Michael was raised in Liverpool, New York. He had lived in Hardin County, Tennessee for the past three years and worked for Oil Express. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America Liverpool, New York Troop 65 and The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). Michael enjoyed building, hunting, and fishing. He loved his stepchildren as his own.
He is survived by his wife, Charissa Holmes of Savannah, Tennessee; stepchildren, Danny Bouissey of Glenrock, Wyoming, Karen Zagrabelny of Glenrock, Wyoming, and Corey Bouissey of Brighton, Colorado; grandchildren, Logan Bouissey, Kaylee Bouissey, Natalie Zagrabelny, and Seth Zagrabelny; mother, Joan Mix and her husband, David of Liverpool, New York; brothers, Mark Holmes of Baldwinsville, New York and Jason Holmes of Youngstown, Ohio;and sister, Michelle Mix of Valley Village, California.
