Michael Lynn Johnson of Selmer, TN departed this life on June 11, 2016 in Selmer at the age of 62 Years, 9 Months, 20 Days. He was born August 22, 1953, the son of Wanda Sikes Johnson and the late Dorris Johnson. He was engaged to be married to Sherri King Duncan who departed this life simultaneously with him.
Michael owned and operated The Hot Rod Shop in Corinth, MS. He was a car enthusiast. He was a member of the Magnolia Car Club along with other clubs in the Selmer and Corinth area. He attended The Church of the Crossroads in Corinth.
He is survived by a daughter, Brittany Johnson of Corinth, MS; a son, Wes Johnson and wife Gina of Olive Branch, MS; three grandchildren, Lauren Johnson, Lily Johnson, Rory Johnson, and another grandchild on the way; his mother, Wanda Johnson of Bethel Springs, TN; two sisters, Debbie Mitchell and husband David of Bethel Springs, TN, Anna Kinsey and husband Bill of Selmer, TN; a brother, Jimmy Johnson and wife Terry of Adamsville, TN and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Faye Johnson; his grandparents, Fred and Minnie P. Wilson Johnson and L. B. and Willie Ann Minnick Sikes.
