Michael Eugene Mayfield

Mr. Mayfield passed away Saturday morning, December 19, 2015 at Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN.
A native of Bolivar, he lived most of his life here before moving to Haywood county four years ago. He was the son of Margaret Cossar Mayfield and the late Curtis Wright Mayfield. In his younger years, he attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church and was a long-time employee of Simmons Logging where he drove a skidder.
On September 8, 2009, he married Jennifer Elaine Cartlidge. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, of Stanton, TN; daughter, Nina; son, Michael Eugene Mayfield, Jr. of Bolivar; mother, Margaret Mayfield of Bolivar; sister, Carolyn Cook of Hornsby, and brother, Ronnie Mayfield of Hornsby, and a one grandchild.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia and Debbie; and two brothers, Donald and Terry.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
