Michael Lynn "Pete" Olive, beloved son of the late Hubert and Frankie Purser Olive, was born on August 11, 1964, in Florence, AL. He departed this life on February 2, 2024, in Florence, AL at the age of 59 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
Pete was a man of faith and held a deep connection to his Christian beliefs. He found solace and joy in his moments of free time when he would go fishing, hunting, and immerse himself in the wisdom of his Bible. It was during these peaceful moments that he sought tranquility and spiritual guidance.
He is preceded in death by four brothers: Billy Ray Olive, James Olive, Donald Olive, and Ricky Olive; as well as three sisters: Lois, Francesca, and Diane.
Pete leaves behind a bereaved but loving family. His daughter Ashley McDougal and P.J., his son Nathan Olive and Brooke; cherish the memories they crafted together. In addition to his dedicated children are his adored grandchildren: Brayden and Avery McDougal, Channing, Parker, Logan, and Grant Olive; as well as a great-grandchild named Bentley McDougal. Pete’s family meant the world to him; their presence brought him immeasurable happiness.
A Graveside Service to honor Pete's life will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Railroad Cemetery in Iron City, TN at 2:00 p.m. Brother Gary Hamby will officiate the service.
