Michael Petersen

Michael Petersen, of Bolivar, TN, passed from this life at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 12 days at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. A Veteran of the US Navy, Mr. Petersen was a full-time Evangelist following more than ten years as Chaplin at Corrections Corporation of America. He loved to attend as a member, East View Pentecostal Church, loved his family and was always teaching and preaching God's word. He was born in Jackson, TN and lived in Hornsby, TN for some time before moving to Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Maria Petersen of Gadsden, AL; a son, Jesse Petersen and wife Danielle, of Millington, TN; two brothers, Timothy Petersen and wife Deborah of Whiteville, TN and Victor Petersen and wife Linda of Pocahontas, TN; a sister, Lynda Settle and husband Kevin of Henderson, TN; and his beloved grand-dogs, Sophie, Evee, and Shasa. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Alfred and Victoria Maxine Easley Petersen; and by two brothers, Larry and Jackie Dennis Petersen.
