Michael Anthony Powers

Mr. Mike Anthony Powers, a resident of Savannah, Tennessee, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.. He was 52 years of age and died at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee after a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday August 30 at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Bolivar with Rev. Ken Burnett, pastor of the Parks Chapel United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Parks Chapel Cemetery near Somerville, Tennessee.
Mr. Powers was born February 24, 1958, on a United States Air Force Base in Japan where his father was serving. He was the son of Earl H. Powers, Jr. and Lucille Earnest Powers, residents of the District 15 community near Somerville.
Mike was a Special Child of God. He was be remembered for his sweet and kind disposition. He loved everyone, especially his family and family gatherings. He was loved by all who knew him.
Mr. Powers is survived by his mother, Lucille Earnest Powers, a nephew, Logan Rusche of Easton, PA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl H. Powers, Jr. and a sister, Carol Powers Rusche.
Casket bearers were Barry Earnest, John Earnest, Jeff Earnest, Conrad Powers, Ricky Powers and Ronald Markle. Memorials can be directed to the Parks Chapel Cemetery Fund or the Donor's Choice.
