MIKE ROSS
HENDERSON, TN: Michael “Mike” G. Ross, age 65 of Beech Bluff died Wednesday evening, June 10, 2020 at his home.
He was born May 28, 1955 in Chester County, son of the late Coy and Gloria Faye Harvey Ross. He grew up in Chester County and was a 1973 graduate of CCHS. He did factory work of various kinds working for Chester County Sportswear, Quality Manufacturing-Shoe Last, Anvil, Sonoco and Delta Faucet. He married Betty Jo Wells on October 4, 1986 and they made their home in Beech Bluff. He enjoyed woodworking crafts especially making walking canes and birdhouses. He was a clown-a prankster and loved joking around. He loved his family dearly including his little dog “Torkey.”
Mr. Ross is survived by his wife Betty Ross of Beech Bluff; two sons Terence Ross and Donnie Buckley both of Henderson; three daughters Spring Climer (Blake), Mandy Coats (Scott) and Heather Thorpe all of Henderson; 12 grandchildren Hunter, Ainsley and Caleb Ross, Shelly Faye Climer, Tyler and Caden Coats, Todd Thorpe, K.C. and Hailey Muston, Lauren Moody, Kaitlyn and Braden Buckley; 3 great grandchildren Serenity Kesler, Hadley Muston and Ramona Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Anthony Ross.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel, with Carroll Priddy officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery at Luray, TN.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
