Michael Wayne Arnold

He was born in Orangeburg, SC, on July 18, 1956, and died at his home on March 1, 2026, with his wife and son at his side.

Michael “Mike” Wayne Arnold was born in Orangeburg, SC, son of James (Jim) Arnold and Betty Darnell Arnold Bozard. He attended schools in Volusia County, FL and Orangeburg, SC before moving to Henderson in 1972 and attending Chester County High School. Michael worked in the heating and air conditioning trade all his life. He owned and operated businesses in both South Carolina and Henderson, TN. He married Martha Malone in 1996. He was a member of Finger Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Arnold; his son, Michael Arnold, Jr., and wife, Lisa of Henderson; one granddaughter, Haven Arnold; three sisters, Susan Ethridge (Wayne) of Orangeburg, SC, Pattie Gilham (Thomas) of Jacks Creek and Stacy Scott of Piedmont, SC; four brothers, Ryan Arnold (Mary) of Kingsport, TN, Jerry Arnold (Lucy) of Pinson, Paul Arnold (Ruth) of Henderson and Tracy Arnold (Kerry) of Milan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel. The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time.
