Michael William Jahnkow, age 57, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 as the result of a motorcycle accident near his home in Enville.
Mike was born and reared in Chicago, IL, the son of Elmer William Jahnkow and the late Jessie Faye Crutchfield Jahnkow. He grew up in Chicago and moved to Tennessee at age 11. He attended Crockett County High School. He married Mona McKay in November 1981 and they were together until 1987. He later met and married Ginger Potter in 1990 and they were together twenty years.
He enjoyed life and living. He loved his church family at Enville Baptist Church and enjoyed meeting new people. He also loved motorcycle riding and was a member of Southern Cruisers Riding Club for which he served as prayer Chaplin. He was a family man who loved his family, friends and dogs. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by a son Matthew William Jahnkow (Tara) of Enville, a daughter Summar Leigh Jahnkow of Henderson, his father Elmer Jahnkow of Henderson and a grandchild Ember Nicole Jahnkow.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 2nd at Shackelford Funeral Directors East Main with Ron Davidson officiating. Burial will be at Cypress Community Cemetery at Bells, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford East Main from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday.
