Mrs. Parham, age 95, of Grand Junction, died Thursday, November 23, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Somerville.
Mrs. Parham was the widow of David Norman Parham, a retired banker and farmer, who died December 2, 1965. She was born July 2, 1916 in Benton County, MS, to Marion Tanner and Ida Elizabeth Liming Weatherly. She was a homemaker and restaurateur, the owner of The Junction Inn for seventeen years. She loved gardening and knitting, was a very giving, warm, and affectionate lady and loved her family deeply. A member of the Grand Junction First United Methodist Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher and custodian and was a member of the Methodist Women's Group. She lived most of her life in Grand Junction.
Survivors include her daughter Lynn Vaught of Grand Junction and son David Marion Parham of Edmond, OK; a sister Eloise Russell of Bartlett; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by four sisters Leona Rogers, Ollie Mae Jordan, Irene Smith, and Cloyce Jenkins; and eight brothers, Ernest, Herman, Horace, Clyce, James K., L. T., Doc, and Connie Weatherly and by two infant siblings.
