‘MILT’ TOBEY, JR.

Henderson, TN: Milton George Tobey, Jr., age 74, passed away July 5, 2026, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, TN.

He was born on November 5, 1951, in Manchester, NH, the son of the late Milton G. Tobey, Sr. and Rita Hebert Tobey. He graduated from Keene State College in Keene, NH,

He married Cheryl on December 8, 1990. They were married thirty-five years.

Milt had two careers, one in trucking and the other in Youth Development with the State of New Hampshire.

Milt enjoyed traveling, gardening, cards, and music. He really enjoyed cutting up with friends and family.

Milt is a cancer survivor as of 5/2026. He died of pneumonia.

Milt is survived by his wife, Cheryl G. Caza Tobey of Henderson, a daughter, Jessica Gardner of Henderson and three sons, Christopher Tobey of St. Cloud, FL, Jeffrey Gardner (Melissa) of Weare, NH and Aaron Gardner (Deborah) of Boyton Beach, FL; grandchildren, Ryan Gardner, Patrick Gardner, Morgan Colapietro, Conor Gardner, Nathan Gardner, Bella Tobey, Cameron Gelinas and Molly Gelinas and seven great grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Newton of Hooksett, NH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Silvia Pratte and a brother, Thomas Tobey.

A celebration of Life service will be on Friday, July 31, 2026, 11:00 AM, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Steve Caza officiating.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time on Friday.
