Henderson, TN: Minnie Mae Naylor Plunk, age 99 departed this life October 3, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born September 25, 1913 to Harmon Joshua and Willie Edna Young Naylor. The oldest of eight children, Minnie grew up in McNairy County and attended McNairy County Schools. She married Dossie Blaine Plunk on October 13, 1932. He predeceased her in death in 1966. Her son, Jimmie Blaine (J.B.) Plunk and son-in-law, J.E. Blankenship predeceased her in death in 2011.
Mrs. Plunk retired from Salant & Salant Factory after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church for 71 years where she had served as Treasurer for many years. She was a faithful supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
She is survived by Emma Blankenship, daughter; grandchildren, Annette (Ted) Springer of Talladega, AL, Sherry (Tommy) Davis of Henderson, Vicki (Rocky) Holcomb of Morton, IL, and Kim (Ronnie) Watters of Creve Coure, IL; daughter-in-law, Vena Plunk of Creve Coure, IL; 10 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Naylor of Henderson and Buford Naylor of Bethel Springs. She was predeceased in death by brothers, Floyd Naylor, Arthur Naylor, Johnnie Naylor, and A.J. Naylor and a sister, Marie White.
