MINNIE TIDWELL
Henderson, TN: Minnie Lee Henley Tidwell, age 85 passed away December 19, 2022, at her home.
She was born June 8, 1937, in Henderson, the daughter of the late William Odell and Margaret Lily Rouse Henley. She grew up and attended school in Chester County.
She married Thomas Tidwell in 1957 and they were married thirty years. She worked for Bemis Cotton Mill for nine years and then at several area garment industries for several years before retiring in 1990.
She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and was excellent at drawing. She loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Gail Tidwell of Finger and Betty Louise Flatt of Henderson; five grandchildren, Todd Flatt, Justin Hays, Christy Gilliam, Tracy Killough and Kimberley Ellway and nineteen great grandchildren; a brother, Jackie Henley of Camden, TN and five sisters, Rosie Laura Wilkins of TX, Wilma Jeanette Jones of Henderson, Clara Mae Howell of Henderson, Mary Creasy of Henderson and Patrecia Johnson of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bobby Henley, William Henley, Billy DeWayne Henley and Mike Odell Henley and a sister, Maddell Denbow.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 23rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
