Mrs. Molly McDaniel, age 79, passed away on May 5, 2023, in Adamsville, Tennessee. She was born on March 5, 1944, in Adamsville and was the daughter of George and Juanita Barnett Elliott. She grew up in the area and later moved to Memphis and the Good Hope Community of McNairy County.
Molly lived a life filled with love and joy. On July 14, 1961,she married James Eldon McDaniel. She owned and operated Selmer Snack Shack for many years. Molly worked as a hairdresser and factory worker but her most fulfilling role was that of a homemaker while her boys were young.
Throughout her life, Molly had a passion for cooking; she loved nothing more than caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren always loving and being there for them. Molly cherished watching her grandsons' ballgames and activities.
Mrs. McDaniel was an active member of Good Hope Baptist Church along with her husband Eldon where they volunteered at various events such as gospel singings- a shared past-time they both enjoyed so much together.
Her family, church members, friends will always remember Mrs. McDaniel's beautiful smile, kind heart, nurturing spirit, and generous soul. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Molly is survived by her husband of almost sixty-two years Eldon McDaniel; two sons, Keith McDaniel (wife LeAnne), Joey McDaniel (wife Michele); grandsons, Kyle McDaniel (wife Emily) and Kameron McDaniel all of Adamsville, TN; great grandchildren, Mila McDaniel, and Landry McDaniel both of Adamsville, TN; niece, Cathy Maness (husband Mike) of Selmer TN; nephew, Mike Cunningham (wife Debra) of Adamsville, TN; numerous other extended family members and friends.
Alongside Molly's parents waiting to greet at heaven's gates are two sisters, Martha Pearl Cunningham and Wanda Kay Garner; two brothers, Eddie and Greg Elliott; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Cunningham and Gary Garner.
Mrs. Molly McDaniel is and forever will be an inspiration to everyone who knew her, leaving behind memories filled with love that will always be cherished.
