MONDEL FORD
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 24, 1928 the son of the late
Allen and Susie Austin Ford.
On February 28, 1948 he was united in marriage to Ellise Highland, who survives.
Mr. Ford retired from Rudy's Farm in Florence, Alabama and he had been a self employed logger and farmer. Mr. Ford also had been a Grain Operator in Tyronza, Arkansas. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Ford enjoyed raising horses and dogs and raising a garden. Mr. Ford loved all his children, grandchildren and his family.
He departed this life on October 5, 2015 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 11 days.
In addition to his wife Ellise of 67 years, he is also survived by his children, Houston Ford and his wife Elaine of Elkhart, Indiana, Elvin Ford and his wife Joan, Ricky Ford and his wife Glenna, Jimmy Ford, Kay White and her husband W. C. and Randy Ford, all of Savannah, Tennessee and George Ford of Port Charlotte, Florida.

eleven great grandchildren, Ricki, C.J., Phoenix, Halle, William Houston, Jensen, Cooper, Natalie, Marlee, Jacob and Aiyden and one on the way
two sisters, Robbie Barrier of Savannah, Tennessee and Nell Benson of Florence, Alabama.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Dewayne Ford, one daughter in law, Judy Ford, one great grandchild, Damon Ford, two sisters, Elgene White and Betty Brewer and two brothers, Billy Joe Ford and Jerry Ford.
