Mrs. Bertie Forrester



was born September 30, 1918 in Galatin County, Illinois the daughter of the late Henry Sylvester and Myrtle A. Campbell Tarrant.



She was united in marriage to Roy Orlando Forrester on December 3, 1936. Mr. Forrester preceded her in death on February 28, 1986.



Mrs. Forrester was a Cook at Coleman's BBQ and was a Sales Person for Woods Department Store. She was a member of the Graham Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee where she was a member of the Graham United Methodist Women and a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Hardin County Family Community Education Committee and the Pink Lady Auxiliary at Hardin Medical Center. Mrs. Forrester had lived in Eldorado, Illinois for 32 years, Hammond, Indiana for 30 years and in Hardin County for 39 years. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing ball, Square-dancing, Flea Markets, Auctions and she enjoyed traveling.



Mrs. Forrester departed this life on April 27, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 6 Months, 28 Days.



She is survived by a daughter, Beverly June Shelby and husband James W. of Savannah, TN; a son, Roy N. Forrester and wife Verna A. of Savannah, TN; four grandchildren, Jamie Lorene Wallace, Vanessa Shelby, James Roy Shelby, and Derek Nolan Forrester; seven great grandchildren, Gina Marie Morton, Casey Renee Johnson, Jessie Lee Forrester, Andrew James Peck, Ashley Dawn Peck, Shelby Christian Wallace, and Kathlyn Grace Wallace; three great great grandchildren, James Matthew Forrester Johnson, Addison Nicole Morton, and Kathlyn Renee Johnson.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Forrester was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Tarrant; two sisters, Irene Bowling and Veletta Tarrant; a grandchild, James Matthew Forrester.
