Mrs. West died Friday night at Pleasant View Healthcare in Bolivar.
A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, Mrs.West was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Pipkin Doyle. She married U. D. West, Jr. on July 19, 1947 and he passed away on December 22, 1998. A member of Hebron Baptist Church, she retired in 1994 as a Pharmancy Tech from Medical Arts Pharmacy in Bolivar. She also worked at Bolivar First Baptist Church Daycare. She will be missed by her family as a wonderfully active grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves three daughters, Judy Kirk of Middleton, Cathy West of Nashville and Tina O'Neal of Bolivar; two sons, Danny West of Rogers, AR and Steve West of Bolivar; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with "one on the way"; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy West; four sisters, Viola Bass, Helen Marcum, Fannie Nelms and Dore Brumbelow; and four brothers, William, Curtis, Alfred and Arlan Doyle.
