Myrtle Staggs Harvey

Myrtle Morrow Staggs Harvey of Waynesboro, TN was born March 8, 1921 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Charlie Carroll Morrow and Mollie Bett Henson Morrow. She was united in marriage to James Walton Staggs and after his death, she married Henry Harvey and he also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Harvey was a retired factory worker and a member of the Waynesboro Church of God in Waynesboro, Tennessee since June 26, 1953.

Mrs. Harvey departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Wayne Medical Center Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 99 Years, 2 Months and 29 Days.

She is survived by sons, William Harold (Bill) Staggs and Mark Anthony Staggs both of Waynesboro, TN and Willard Lee Staggs of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Mary Hickerson of Waynesboro, TN, Mildred Ann Murray of Hohenwald, TN, Lisa Kern of Livonia, MI; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertie Carroll of Waynesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by sons, James Carroll Staggs and Harvel Lynn Staggs; a daughter, Nancy Whitehead; brothers, Alfred Morrow, Raymond Morrow and Winfred Morrow and a sister, Opal Galloway.

Services will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 1 pm to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Hickerson, Brandon Hickerson, Donnie Staggs, Willard Staggs, William (Bill) Staggs and Robert Staggs.
