Nadine Long Jones

Nadine Long Jones was born July 2, 1932 in Collinwood, TN the daughter of the late William Bill and Florence Haddock Long. Mrs. Jones departed this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Wayne County Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 7 Months, 27 Days. She also was preceded in death by her husband,, Franklin Delano Jones. She was employed at Genesco for 32 years as a machine operator, a foster grandparent at Waynesboro Elementary, and a member of Upper Green River Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Roger Dale Jones and wife Patty of Waynesboro, TN, a daughter, Carol Sue Jackson of Waynesboro, TN, two grandchildren, Josh Crews and Hannah Jones both of Waynesboro, TN, two great grandchildren, Dustin and Caleb Crews, three brothers, Gene Long of Sikeston, MO, Tommy Long of Lilbourn, MO, and David Long of New Madrid, MO, a sister, Brenda Long of Vermilion, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Long, Stanley Long, Edward Long, four sisters, Florence Long, Betty Tabor, Ann Cook, and Shirley Long.

Services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Casey Jones and Jerry Flippo officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Roger Jones, Josh Crews, David Duren, James Allen Helton, Herbie Helton, and Randy Butler. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
