Nadine Lockard

Services for Nadine Thompson Lockard was Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial followed in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. A native of Waynesboro, she was born June 4, 1931. She was a daughter of the late Robert (Bob) and Viola Mae Throgmorton Thompson. On January 10, 1947 she was married to Bas E. Lockard who preceded her May 25, 2003. She also was preceded in death by daughter, Judy Dianne (Lockard) Adams; son, Dannie R. Lockard; sisters, Frances Daniel, Annie Frank Thompson, and twin sister Wylodine Greeson. For several years she and Mr. Lockard owned and operated a grocery store. She enjoyed singing and sang in a gospel singing group. Mrs. Lockard was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.She is survived by daughter, Karen Renee Smith and husband Kenny; grandchild, Kenneth Scott Smith; and sister, Marguerite Ray all of Waynesboro, TN;
