Loraine Cecelia Arnold known as Nancy, 94, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 22, 1928. Nancy is the daughter of the late Norbert and Marie Berneburg.
On December 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Edward Russell Arnold, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arnold raised seven children, while managing "Arnie's Bait & Tackle," and "Frank's Market," in Piru, California.
After moving to Tennessee, she was active in the McNairy County Hospital Auxiliary, serving as president on multiple occasions. Upon turning 50, she started college and earned her degree as a licensed practical nurse.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, she loved her church and her family, serving all for many years.
She is survived by four sons, John Arnold and wife Joey of Dalton, Georgia, Tom Arnold and wife Laura of Greenville, South Carolina, Rus Arnold and wife Lana of Ojai, California, and Chuck Arnold of Savannah, Tennessee; two daughters, Carol Arnold of Adamsville, Tennessee and Joan Overman and husband Jim of Bainbridge, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, Christine Poval, Alendra McGuire, Jennifer Arnold, Naomi Arnold, Tyler Starbard, Tanner Starbard, Zach Arnold, Madison Arnold, Slade Jackson, Trace Arnold, Chris Benoit, Katherine Benoit, Scott Overman, Jill Kirk, Paige Overman and Kara Overman; five great grandchildren, Lauren Kane, Riley McGuire, Shaun Taylor, Jonathan Tisdale, and Mackenzie Jackson.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Arnold; sisters, Marge Vistien and Mil Papke; brother, Norb Berneburg; daughter, Mary Benoit; and grandson, Jacob Benoit.
