Mrs. Cole passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland, Florida.
Nancy was born November 8, 1938 in Hornsby, Tennessee to Lida and Clay Lambert.
Nancy was the owner of Mid-American Auto Racing News for over 38 years with her late husband Phillip Cole, who preceded her in death. Together they spent many years traveling to area race tracks promoting the sport of auto racing and the newspaper.
In 1999 Nancy moved to Silerton, TN before moving to Florida with her daughter Norma in 2007.
Nancy is survived by four daughters; Norma (Steve) Fitch of Trenton, FL; Terry (Ken) Thomas, Wendy (Ron) Butler, both of Toledo, OH, and Viki (Norm) Whitaker of Maumee, OH; two brothers, Frank Lambert of Silerton and Leo Lambert of Memphis; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; former husband, Albert Norman Hatch of Whiteville, TN; a sister, Ann (Hughlon) Wade of Washington, IL; a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends who loved her and will miss her.
She was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Brooke; brothers, Cleo, Lemuel, Lindbergh, Bobby Joe, and John, all of Silerton; and a sister, Ruby.
