Nancy Leona Maples

Nancy Leona Maples, age 89 of Mercer, passed from this life Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Jackson, TN.She was born September 25, 1919 in Decatur County, Tennessee to the late Joe and Roxie Ann Horton Yarbro. She married Robert Clifford Maples New Year's Day, 1935 and was a homemaker. She lived most of her adult life in the Mercer area and was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her in death May 28, 1982. Survivors include a son, James Lynn Maples of Mercer, a sister-in-law, Margie Yarbro of Lexington and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lillian Roxie Hill and her grandson, Thomas Edward Hill, Jr.
