Nancy Louise Parrish

Nancy Louise Grose Parrish of Collinwood, TN was born January 23, 1947 in Florence, Alabama, the daughter of the late William (Bud) Charles and Ester Hunt Grose. She was united in marriage to Benjamin Johnny (Buddy)Parrish Sr. on May 9, 1964 and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1997.
Mrs. Parrish was a certified nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Parrish departed this life on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 6 Months, 8 Days.
She is survived by son, Benjamin Johnny (Benny) Parrish Jr. of Florence, AL; daughters, Tammy Olive of Collinwood, TN, Sharon Geans and Margie Pettus of Florence, AL; 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild; brother, Charles Wayne Grose of Muscle Shoals, AL; sister, Betty Gore of Rogersville, AL; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Grose.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with David Skipworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, Alabama with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Ricky Pettus, Jason Shaneyfelt, George Fowlkes, Randy Price, Donnie Parrish, Roland Parrish, Jr.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from noon to 3 pm at the funeral home.
