Nancy Beckham Porter

Nancy Beckham Porter of Collinwood, TN was born July 3, 1960 in Savannah, TN the daughter of Glenn Beckham of Collinwood TN who survives and the late Carolyn Martin Beckham. She was united in marriage to James Martin Porter on July 1, 1994. Mrs. Porter was an inspector for Tennessee Apparel and a member of the Houston Baptist church in Collinwood Tennessee and Indian Creek FCE.

She departed this life on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia Tennessee at the age of 60 years,1 month and 5 days.

Besides her father, she is survived by her husband, James “Marty” Porter of Collinwood TN; son, Steven Burns, wife, Vicky of Collinwood,TN, Adam Porter, wife, Katherine of Lewisburg, TN and Jamie Porter, wife, Jill of Mount Juliet TN; daughter, Jennifer Sherrill, husband, Chris of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Abby, Matthew, Patrick, Maddy Lee and Parker Sherrill, Lily Grace and Luke Burns ,Jorja Porter, Lucy Malak and Mary Kate Porter; brother, Jeff Beckham and sisters, Debbie Rogers and Connie McLin all of Collinwood,TN and nieces and nephews

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Beckham and brothers-in-law, Danny McLin and William Rogers

Pallbearers include Michael McLin, Adam Hollis, Nathan Hollander, Matthew Sherrill, Patrick Sherrill, Chris Sherrill and Preston Cummings.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 11 at 1:00 pm at Houston Baptist Church in Collinwood, TN with John Scoggin and David Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Hebron cemetery in Collinwood, TN. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.

Visitation will begin Monday August the 10 at 6:00 pm until service time at the Houston Baptist Church.
