She was born and reared in the Enville Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late David Washington and Mary Elizabeth Henderson Massengill.
She is survived by a son Larry Grimes and wife Teresa of Bethel Spring s and a daughter, Linda Sue Jarnagin and husband Tommy of Bethel Springs; one grandson and two great grandsons; five brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emil Grimes and a grandson, Michael Wayne Jarnagin and a brother and a sister.
