Neal Rickman departed this life on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the age of 72 years, 6 months, 4 days. He was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on May 15, 1943, the son of the late Otis and Margie Ann Stanford Rickman. On January 8, 1966, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Rigsby, who survives.
Neal was the owner of Sardis Flowers and Gifts in Sardis, Tennessee. He had also worked for Garan Manufacturing, Aqua Glass, as a high school basketball referee and school bus driver, and had started farming at the age of 9. He loved sports and had played basketball, baseball, and football. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Ann Rickman of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; daughters, Nina Rickman Morey of Savannah, Tennessee and Shonda Rickman Williams of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jeffrey Adams Morey, Jr., Anna Pearl Morey, Michael Thomas Williams, Nicholas Heath Neal Williams, and Matthew Riley Williams; brothers, Wayne Rickman of Orlando, Florida, Lynn Rickman of Savannah, Tennessee, and Royce Rickman of Valdosta, Georgia; sisters, Diane Newell of Selmer, Tennessee and Rita Thomas of Valdosta, Georgia.
