Mr. Wiggins died Saturday morning, August 27, 2011, at Bolivar General Hospital.
Born January 29, 1927 in Hardeman County to Charlie Austin and Martha Grantham Wiggins, he was a truck driver for Bolivar Lumber Company and Bolivar Concrete for 50 years. He married Sadie Lucille Vaughan June 16, 1945, and together they attended Forest Hill Pentecostal Church. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting and lived all his life in Hardeman County.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Mary Sue Cooksey of Bolivar; two sons, Charles Wiggins of Collierville, and Larry Wiggins of Hornsby; two sisters, Bernice Vaughan and Charlene Morris, both of Bolivar; three brothers, Henderson Wiggins of Camden, Edwin and Donald Wiggins, both of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Teresa Cooksey of Bolivar, Jeffery Wiggins of Albuquerque, NM, Cathy Cooksey of Whiteville, and Marsha Garrison of Bolivar; four great grandchildren, Keegan and Colin Wiggins, John Wesley and Mary Beth Garrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Jettie Rose Knight and Althea Sipes and, a brother, Vernon Wiggins.
