Nell Jean Fowler Fahr, a beloved homemaker known for her dedication to family and her passion for sewing children's clothing, canning, fishing, and the great outdoors, passed away on June 30, 2024 in Cordova, Tennessee. She was born on February 1, 1930, in Hardeman County, Tennessee.
Throughout her life, Nell was a beacon of warmth and love to all who knew her. She brought joy comfort to her family and friends with her kind heart and nurturing spirit. Nell's creativity shone brightly through her sewing endeavors and hobbies that brought smiles to many faces. She was a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church where she taught 2-3 year old children in her earlier years. She later became a member of Leaclair Baptist Church in Memphis.
Nell is survived by her daughters, Donna Fowler of Cordova and Brenda Fowler of Thompson Station, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Fowler and also by her second husband Harold Fahr. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Fowler, sisters Evelyn Cross and Dorcas Dial, brothers Jewell Doyle, Samuel Doyle, Burnell Doyle and Bill Doyle.
Nell's presence in this world brought light and happiness to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace. Memorial donations in her name may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
