Nellie E. Lyon

Nellie Elizabeth (Tune) Lyon, of Holly Springs, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Mrs. Lyon was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Tune; mother, Irla Tune; son, Terry Abrams; grandchildren, Dalton and Jason Lyon;  sisters, Louise,  Mervee, Olean and Girtie; and brothers, John Dee and Willard Tune.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Lyon; sons, Mark Lyon ( Maribeth), Larry Abrams, and James Bryan Lyon (Lynette); grandchildren, Kristi House (Dustin), Melody Hyche (Tim), Brandon Lyon, and Nathan Lyon; great grandchildren, Allison, Brendon, Connor, Kylei, and Peyton Lyon, and Carson House, all of Texas and a new comer of 5 months, Madison Rose Denise Hyche ( parents, Tim and Melody Hyche of Winnsboro, South Carolina); sisters, Nadine Hinton of Waterloo, Alabama, Cora Hosea of Savannah, Tennessee, and Betty Wilson of Senatobia, Mississippi.

Mrs. Lyon was a believer in Jesus Christ her Savior, and a member of Wyatte Baptist Church in Wyatte, Mississippi, Bro. Scott Rogers, Pastor.  

She spent her life dedicated to her family as a homemaker.  She enjoyed decorating for holidays, especially for Christmas.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
