Nellie Rainey

Mrs. Rainey passed away Saturday morning at Pine Meadows Healthcare Center.
The widow of Thomas W. Rainey, who died on December 22, 2008, she worked as an occupational therapist at Western Mental Health Institute for 44 years. She was the daughter of John Oliver Owen and Rosetta Thomas Owen and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School and was a Baptist in belief.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Peggy Adelman and Ron of Bolivar; a son and his wife, Tom Rainey and Marianne of Pocahontas; a sister, Bessie Tubbs of Whiteville; four grandchildren, Tom and Todd Rainey,Mikey McMahan and Alicia Pace; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Odean Collins.
