Nina Jones Jenkins

December 31, 1932 — February 7, 2011

Nina King Jones Jenkins was born December 31, 1932 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Hubert and Viola Elliott King.



She was united in marriage to Hubert Jones on April 1, 1950. To this union were born four children. In later life she was united in marriage to James Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins preceded her in death in 1986.



Mrs. Jenkins was a former resident of Counce, Tennessee for many years. She worked for several years in the garment industry as a machine operator and supervisor. The majority of her career was spent working with Levi-Strauss in Ramer, Tennessee. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee.



Mrs. Jenkins departed this life on February 7, 2011 in Pocahontas, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 1 Month, 7 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Smith and husband Jerry of Pocahontas, TN and Teresa Prather of Ramer, TN; six grandchildren: Angie Browder and husband Robert, Chucky Forman and wife Mandy, Kim Smith and husband Jeff, Scottie Matlock and wife Tammy, Corey Prather and wife Tammy, Dusty Smith; seven great-grandchildren: BreAnna Browder, Madalyn Browder, Drew Forman, Hunter Nunn, Colton Nunn, Dalton Nunn, Cy Matlock; two sisters, Margaret Whitley of Selmer, TN and Mary Ann Mathis of Selmer, TN; three brothers: John King and wife Linda of Selmer, TN, Bill King and wife Norma Jean of Selmer, TN, Roger King of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Matlock; a son, Danny Gene Jones; a grandchild, James Brandon Prather; a son-in-law, Steve Prather; and her beloved canine companion Trudy.
