NINA WEAVER ROBERTS
Henderson, TN: Nina Faye Weaver Roberts age 74 passed away April 9, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born January 10, 1943 in Henderson, TN, the daughter of the late James Woodrow and Ruth Edna Mitchell Weaver. She went to school in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1961. She attended Freed-Hardeman University for two years and graduated from Union University in 1965 with a BA Degree of Elementary Education. She taught school at Jacks Creek for one year and then went to work as a Librarian for Chester County High School, where she worked for forty-seven years. During which time she went to college to get her certification as a Librarian. She married Wayne Roberts in 1976. They met at Freed-Hardeman University while they both were students. She collected things, loved to read, reading several books a week, loved gardening and taking care of the grandchildren. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Benton Wayne Roberts of Henderson; a son, Mark Roberts and wife Katie of Enville and a daughter, Beth Roberts of Nashville and five grandchildren, Xander, Alison, Emily, Drake and Korbin Roberts; a brother, James Weaver of Trenton and a sister, Martha Laws of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Casey Chapel with Roy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Chester County Library.
