Henderson, TN: Nona Jean Scott Mullins, age 77 passed away Monday evening October 19, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 14, 1938 in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Edward Gary Scott and Mary Clay Jones Scott Lipford, and step father, Roy Lipford. She went to school in McNairy County and graduated High school in 1956. She married Wayne Mullins in 1957 and they moved to Memphis. They were married for over fifty-seven years and moved back to Henderson in 1971.Mr. Mullins passed away in March 29, 2014. Mrs. Mullins was a homemaker and she loved traveling, reading, working in the yard and in her flowers and she loved to write her daily journal and notes to her family. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by a daughter, Vicki Couch of Henderson; two sons, Johnny Mullins and wife Rose of Phoenix, AZ and Keith Mullins of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Zachary Mullins (Jennifer) of Maryville, TN, Dustin Mullins (Michelle) of Wood River, IL, Christopher Couch (Jennifer) of Jackson, TN, Sara Jo Couch of Jackson, Hananiah Mullins of Grafton, IL, Jesse Couch of Henderson, William Wilson of Lexington, Chris Wilson of Phoenix, AZ and Michelle Pryor of Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Madison Seaton, Nicholas Mullins and Nate Mullins; a brother, Ken Scott of MS.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Jeanette Brown in 1995.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
