Norma Jo Lofton Fletcher Nobles
Norma Jo Nobles age 78 of Jacks Creek passed away in Knoxville TN on Friday, December 12, 2008 after a long illness. She was a baptized Christian and because of her faith is now in Heaven. She was born in Jackson TN, on November 18, 1930. “Joâ€, as she was known by all who loved her, spent most of her career serving the Jackson Madison County Health Department and retired in 1986. Jo’s family and friends were her life and many will miss her.
Her son Dennis Jo Fletcher; one grandchild Joshua Fletcher, her parents Allie Francis Lofton and Iris Henry Lofton; and her first husband Dennis Neal Fletcher preceded Jo in death.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Raford Sewell Nobles, daughter and son-in-law, Carol Leanne Gibbs and Robert Gibbs of Rockford TN, Raford’s children Larry Nobles and wife Sue, who provided special loving care to Norma Jo, and Patsy Jones and husband Don, grandchildren Rachel Ann Fletcher, Rebecca Jo Fletcher, Jacob Lofton Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher Gibbs, Teresa Sue Smith, Chip Campbell, Jason Nobles, and Chris Campbell. She is also survived by a sister and brother in law, Carolyn June Moore and Harold Moore of Hermitage, TN, a favorite niece and nephew, Melinda Carole Lytle and Gregory Harold Moore. She has two great grandchildren Michael Keith Fletcher and Summer Nicole Stewart.
The funeral services will be Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 3 PM in the chapel of Shackelford – Casey Chapel, Henderson, TN with Mindy Lytle and Robert Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Internment will be Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM, Hollywood Cemetery, Jackson, TN.
