Norma Jean Sanders

Norma Jean Gilchrist Sanders was born March 20, 1937 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late William Gilchrist and Fleetie Gilchrist Wilkins Eason.

She was united in marriage to Ravon Nelson Sanders on August 11, 1961. Mr. Sanders preceded her in death on July 10, 2009.

Mrs. Sanders was a member of the Mount Sharon Presbyterian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee where she had served as Sunday School Superintendent for a while. She also was a part of the PWO group at the church. Mrs. Sanders loved her church, her family and her grandchildren were her life.

Mrs. Sanders departed this life on January 15, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 9 Months, 26 Days.

She is survived by her children, Joy J. Brown and husband David of Adamsville, TN, Will Tom (Goose) Sanders and wife Rebecca of Stantonville, TN; three grandchildren: Spencer Brown, Ravon Chaz Sanders, Mary Kyla Sanders.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie (Laverne) Pettigrew Calvert, Demovah Martin; a brother, Wayne Gilchrist.
