Norma Jean Deshazier Wood

Norma Jean Deshazier Wood was born on August 2, 1962 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Billy Lee Deshazier and Katharion DeLois Deshazier Arnold.

On February 17, 1982, she was united in marriage to Clarence Asa Wood, who preceded his wife in death on May 15, 2015. She loved her husband and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage.

Norma worked at Piggly Wiggly for 14 years and later retired from Pickwick Landing State Park after 22 years where she worked as a lead cook. She took pride in her work and loved to cook. She put her heart into anything she made and her food was amazing! Norma's friends say that she was everything to them and she had a one of a kind smile that you could see in her eyes!

Norma Jean Deshazier Wood departed this life on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 1 day.

She is survived by her special friends, Julie L. Batchelor and Becky S. Harville.
